{"id":54023,"date":"2025-10-30T15:43:28","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T15:43:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/globalcommunities.org\/?post_type=programs&#038;p=54023"},"modified":"2026-01-05T18:53:18","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T18:53:18","slug":"syria-life","status":"publish","type":"programs","link":"https:\/\/globalcommunities.org\/programs\/syria-life\/","title":{"rendered":"Lifesaving Interventions for Emergencies Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t\t\t<h6>OUR PROGRAMS<\/h6><h1>From Survival to Recovery in Syria<\/h1>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<p>Every day, Global Communities provides lifesaving assistance to families still reeling from Syria&#8217;s decades-long conflict &#8211; supporting them to move forward and rebuild their lives with dignity.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tMore than 75% of people in Syria still rely on humanitarian assistance after years of conflict. \t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Our <strong>Lifesaving Interventions for Emergencies (LIFE) program<\/strong> helps families in the hardest-hit areas of northwest and northeast Syria with essentials like food, clean water, safe shelter, and protection services. Many of the communities we serve, including ethnic and religious minorities, were displaced by ISIS and remain especially vulnerable.<\/p>\n\t<p>In 2024 alone, LIFE provided food assistance to an estimated 170,000 people, including more than 46,000 individuals across four camps in northeast Syria. In northwest Syria, we supplied safe water every day for an entire camp of more than 127,000 displaced people &#8211; ensuring families had what they needed to cook, wash, and stay healthy.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond food and water, LIFE provides other vital support. Families receive bread to meet daily needs, while farmers are equipped with agricultural kits to strengthen local food production. Cash and voucher assistance allows people to decide what matters most for their households, whether that is food, clothing, or medicine.<\/p>\n<p>For those displaced from their homes, shelter rehabilitation offers safer, more stable temporary housing.
